Creget ("we", "us") is a research and educational platform for Indian personal finance. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use creget.com and how we use it.

1. Short version

We do not run user accounts, we do not collect personal information, and we do not sell data. Your watchlists, recently viewed funds, and saved comparisons are stored only in your browser's local storage on your device.

2. Information we do not collect

  • Name, email, phone number, or address
  • Bank account, PAN, Aadhaar, or KYC details
  • Financial transactions or portfolio holdings
  • Precise location

3. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider may log standard request data (IP address, user-agent, referrer) for security and abuse prevention. These logs are not used to build individual profiles and are rotated on a short schedule.

4. Local storage

To personalize your experience, we store the following in your browser's local storage:

  • Theme preference (light or dark)
  • Watchlist of funds you have starred
  • Recently viewed funds
  • Saved fund comparisons
  • Cached market data (mutual funds, stocks) to reduce API calls

You can clear this data at any time by clearing site data in your browser settings.

5. Third-party data sources

We pull public market data from mfapi.in, AMFI India, and Alpha Vantage. Your browser contacts these services directly when you view a page; we do not proxy or store the responses on our servers.

6. Analytics and advertising

Creget is free forever. We do not run advertising. If we later add privacy-respecting analytics, we will update this page first.

7. Cookies

We do not set tracking cookies. Local storage is used for personalization only and is not transmitted to any server.

8. Children

Creget is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
